Hi experts,

I have created an RFC function in ABAP and import it in CAF module.

When i called this RFC, all works fine.

Now i need to add one attribute in some of return object in this RFC.

I delete all the dependencies with the RFC in CAF, include the reference types, methods, simple types, complex types...

Then i import the RFC again.

When i called the method to execute the RFC i have this error:

Caused by: javax.ejb.EJBException: External Service execution failed.; nested exception is: com.sap.caf.rt.exception.CAFServiceException: Field DSC_COMMENT not a member of ZEST_TRID_TAM_PR_HEADER

ZEST_TRID_TAM_PR_HEADER is the type of object and  DSC_COMMENT is the attribute that i have added.

I am using netweaver 7.2 SP03.

There is some suggestion to resolve this issue?

Hi Experts,

As per my scenario, i need to call the approval process on some actions.

I have created one proxy class for my GP process and using method start_process of that class, I am instantiating the process using it.

Also have created port and everythg

For this i have created one report in se38 and i am calling that proxy method in there.

It ask for ID and Password and works fine and instantiates.

But if i try the same thing in my Webdynpro ABAP Application, it doesnt ask for ID and Password and gives an exception:

SOAP:1.007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")

There is something which i am missing before trying the same in Webdynpro ABAP application.

Please help me with this as early as possible.

- We are working on a project about SharePoint 2010 integration with SAP. The project will use Single Sign On  to authenticate  between Sharepoint 2010 and SAP using ADFS. We expect that after end users login SharePoint 2010, they will integrate to SAP without login SAP again in Sharepoint system (using WebPart).

- I am seeking a documentation or an article so that it shows me how to configure ADFS for SAP.

I am configuring ADS on CE 7.2 with SSL.  I was able to get everything working before configuring SSL but now I have a problem.

It seems the communication between ABAP (serverA) and J2EE (serverB) is not working.

In CE, when I try to ping desitnation:  FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>  I get an error:   Error during ping operation: Ping not successful! Received HTTP response 404.   I have this configured to use keystore view ADSCerts - ssl-credentials (with self-signed certificates for testing). But even when I change it to basic, it still doesn't ping.

Then when I try to test the SM59 connnection (ADS), I get the following error:  HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED

I have this set up as "DEFAULT SSL CLIENT (STANDARD)" -with 50001 as the system number.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hi All -

I've deployed an updated software component archive (SCA) for an application, but would like to roll back to a previous version of the SCA.  I saw some help guides on undeploying with NWDS, but I can't figure out how to access NWDS.

What other methods are available for undpeloying archives from NW CE 7.1, or how do I access NWDS to undeploy an archive?

Any information would be helpful.

We have intially installed the single instance (J00) with the SCS instance on a single hostname  in the SAP NW CE 7.2

Then we have installed another instance (J02) .

(i.e )

Qc1 --> Host

SCS01 -- SCS

J00 -- Application Server

J02 -- Application Server  (additional )

After installing the another additional application server , after making a restart , when i try to acess the url : http ://host :portnumber .

Suddenly it cannot able to reach the port number : 50000

When i checked in jsmon , its not allowing me to check the process .

Its giving the below error :

   JsfOpenShm failed: object not found

  Cannot access shared memory.

Kindly suggest for the solution .

we have a SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.2 up and running and use a simple workflow application to test the new release. Unfortunately we do get an error when the application is trying to send notification emails:

Could not send notification for taskInstance ... with role POTENTIAL_OWNER and locale en_US. 
Reason was com.sap.bpem.base.mail.MailException: 
Cannot send e-mail because the e-mail session cannot be retrieved

We already configured the system as described in [Configuring Mail, Notification Messages, and Forms Services|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce72/helpdata/en/e4/32ff7865fa483dba3686160f5c6dd0/content.htm] where we set the mail.from property of Configuration Management > Infrastructure > Java System Properties > Applications > tc_bpembase~ear with a correct value. But the system can not initiate the mail session correctly.

We already successfully testet the SMTP connection via Telnet.

Does anyone have a hint on this?

I'm trying to establish a trust to an authentication provider (Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services 2.0) using a Metadata URL (https://<fqdn>/FederationMetadata/2007-06/FederationMetadata.xml), and I'm always getting the errors:

Bad signature or wrong signing certificate: Verification failed.

Metadata cannot be verified

I guess I have put the wrong certificates into the "signing key pair" and "encryption key pair", because it is not documented, what this actually means. Signing and encrypting by whom??

This is so bad documented. Where is the step-by-step solution for this scenario? Most customers use Microsoft Active Directory, so why doesn't SAP describe, how to implement the connection for this scenario?

I hope I'm not the first on the planet who tries this.... So please help me...

I downloaded and installed the SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 Developer Edition and wanted to start a tutorial about Web Dynpros.

Unfortunately I don't see the SAP perspectives eventhough the SAP features seem to be installed (I can see them).

I de- and installed the IDE two times, allways with the same result: After installation the update manager starts and installts the features but I don't see the perspective. I tried then to switch the update sight under policy url to https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710/policy.xml and tried to start the update process ("find and install") which results in an error.

I've read s. th. about I have to configure the proxy settings in the IDE - thing is that I'm connected directly to the internet. Somebody has an idea?

By the way: Installation happend on a VM running windows server 2008 as OS.

Hi  Jim Farney ,

We have intially installed the single instance (J00) with the SCS instance on a single hostname  in the SAP NW CE 7.2

Then we have installed another instance (J02) .

(i.e )

Qc1 --> Host

SCS01 -- SCS

J00 -- Application Server

J02 -- Application Server  (additional )

After installing the another additional application server , after making a restart , when i try to acess the url : http ://host :portnumber .

Suddenly it cannot able to reach the port number : 50000

When i checked in jsmon , its not allowing me to check the process .

Its giving the below error :

   JsfOpenShm failed: object not found

  Cannot access shared memory.

Kindly suggest for the solution .
