The note mentioned in the subject says the following:

1. Before updating your SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP01 system to SP03 or higher, check for the following SDAs on your system:

com.sap.aii.af.ms.lib.sda

com.sap.aii.af.axisproviderlib.sda

com.sap.aii.adapter.lib.sda

If these SDAs are missing, download the SAPXI3RDPARTY.SAR file from SAP Service Marketplace at:

http://service.sap.com/patches -> Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Technology Components -> SAP NW CE 7.1: Update SP01 to SP03.

However, i cannot find the sapxi3rdparty.sar... Is the location changed or does my OS id not have enough rights? I was able to download the sp stack for updating from SP01 to SP04... Are the above sda's in those sca's somewhere maybe?

i have installed CE7.1 initially it was working fine. once i stopped system now it can not restart

jstart.exe process indicates 'synchronizing  binary' then stopped

I have to update a PRODUCTION Environment with Support Packages (unfortunately without a ready Quality one as mirror for testing them).

So, I'm trying to install again the same software someone else used for PRODUCTION, in a Quality server.

SO: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition SP2

I installed successfully SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP1, but after launching JSPM to install SAP MII 12.1, I'm requested to insert login of an

Java AS user with deployment permissions.

In details I undestrood that the path to be followed, after activating Java AS and checking read rights of OS user on JSPM packages folder,

it should be:

1- launch the JSPM with OS <SAPSID>adm user;

2- insert Java AS user credentials with deployment permissions when requested (to log in to JSPM Server).

3- ...

n- ...

on step 2, even inserting user administrator and master password of NetWeaver installation, I cannot proceed.

Shouldn't it have those rights. How are them called and where can I assign them?

Looking at the logs of JSPM I found something like this:

I have used the SAPMAKE Utilities on command line to package our application in SCA.

I first created SDA files for the given PAR and EPA files which are exported from portal 7.0 Before creating our SDA file for the specified EPA, I excluded the references from the EPA so that it wouldn't have the PAR files. Then I put all our SDAs in the same folder, and created an SCA package for that folder.(I also tried with the EPAs including the PARs)

When I try to deploy this SCA package on the 7.30 portal via JSPM, I get an error. You can find the related log below.

I especially wonder if it is because of the related line below "epaFile must be an existing file"

I want to download NWDS 7.1 but not only the "90 days version". Of course I know link to the 90-days Trial/Preview version (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/webcontent/uuid/20877bcc-bb51-2b10-aa8b-8308ed488199[original link is broken]).

I have already tried to find something at the sap marketplace (service.sap.com), but I cannot find a "FULL" installation file for NWDS 7.1, only for NWDS 7.0 I can find the full installation file.

Can anyone tell me where exactly (link!) I can download the Complete NWDS 7.1 installer? SDN or marketplace links are both fine...

I'm working in CE 7.10. I have a CAF Project that gets a JDBC connection from a Custom Datasource to an external Database.

Here is the code:

and the following on line "con.commit() / con.rollback()" : --> "Cannot commit JDBC transaction from this connection of "MYDATABASE" DataSource. This resource participates in a JTA transaction."

If I run the same code from a webDynpro or a J2EE project it works ok, but not from a CAF Application Service. I tried to do it in a simple Class in the CAF Project and call this clas from the Application service, but I get the same error.

Any Ideas??

We are running SAP CE 7.11 SPS4, we have been confronted to the following error message :

HTTP 503 : server overload: no more sessions available

I checked on the SAPMMC, and indeed the maximum number of 1000 Web sessions was reached.

I searched in the configTool and in NWa but I couldn't find where i could increase this number.

Do you know where i can increase this number ?

I have to update a PRODUCTION Environment with Support Packages (unfortunately without a ready Quality one as mirror for testing them).

So, I'm trying to install again the same software someone else used for PRODUCTION, in a Quality server.

I installed successfully SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP1, but after launching JSPM to install SAP MII 12.1, I'm requested to insert login of an

Java AS user with deployment permissions.

In details I undestrood that the path to be followed, after activating Java AS and checking read rights of OS user on JSPM packages folder,

it should be:

1- launch the JSPM with OS <SAPSID>adm user;

2- insert Java AS user credentials with deployment permissions when requested (to log in to JSPM Server).

3- ...

n- ...

on step 2, even inserting user administrator and master password of NetWeaver installation, I cannot proceed.

Shouldn't it have those rights. How are them called and where can I assign them?

Looking at the logs of JSPM I found something like this:

I'm updating the NWDS and selecting the features to install from https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710

It hung midway while downloading:: plugins/com.sap.engine.clientapis_2.0.0.101103141034.jar (9928K of 10560K bytes)

I had to force kill the NWDS and when I restarted it and tried to update the features again, it doesn't try to download the clientapis jar that failed to download before. I don't find this jar in the eclipse\plugins folder either, so why does it skip this jar?

By the way, the features to install automatically listed were as below:

Can someone please help understand what is happening and how to get the update manager working, before I get fired from my job for showing no productivity since 2 days? If it is a matter of the mirror being down, can you tell how I can choose a different mirror for a site in the Eclipse Update Manager?

I am configuring ADS on CE 7.2 with SSL.  I was able to get everything working before configuring SSL but now I have a problem.

It seems the communication between ABAP (serverA) and J2EE (serverB) is not working.

In CE, when I try to ping desitnation:  FP_ICF_DATA_<SID>  I get an error:   Error during ping operation: Ping not successful! Received HTTP response 404.   I have this configured to use keystore view ADSCerts - ssl-credentials (with self-signed certificates for testing). But even when I change it to basic, it still doesn't ping.

Then when I try to test the SM59 connnection (ADS), I get the following error:  HTTPIO_PLG_CANCELED

I have this set up as "DEFAULT SSL CLIENT (STANDARD)" -with 50001 as the system number.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

I am using standard SAP Enterprise service of load quotation using ID.

After getting result from it, I am calling another standard SAP Enterprise service of check create sales order.

To call second service i am using first service output data as input data to it.

If i only execute load quotation using ID service then it works perfectly.

but when i add that converting output data of load quotation  service to input data to check create sales order ,

It gives me class version mismatch error due to having same name of particular classes in both services.

We recently installed 7.1 CE EHP1 with Oracle 10.2.0.4.for a SAP MII project. The system ran fine for two weeks, but now when we try to start the Java instance, the jstart process hangs and server0 never starts.

The only obvious error in the trace file is on the 4th line down, which states:

I've searched everywhere I can think of (OSS, SDN, Google, colleagues) for an answer, but cannot find anything. All I can find is that it's a framework error and probably down to a manager not starting. How do I tell which manager is causing the failure?

Can anyone help?

We have istalled the CE7.2 evaluation version on windows XP (SP3). However we cannot start the server, whe we try to start it, we get the following error message:

503 Service not available

Error:     -6

2. when open the management console > As Java Process tables - we see that the ICM runs proprely but server0 is stopped and the exit code is 1 (forced shutdown case)

We have intially installed the single instance (J00) with the SCS instance on a single hostname  in the SAP NW CE 7.2

Then we have installed another instance (J02) .

(i.e )

Qc1 --> Host

SCS01 -- SCS

J00 -- Application Server

J02 -- Application Server  (additional )

After installing the another additional application server , after making a restart , when i try to acess the url : http ://host :portnumber .

Suddenly it cannot able to reach the port number : 50000

When i checked in jsmon , its not allowing me to check the process .

Its giving the below error :

   JsfOpenShm failed: object not found

  Cannot access shared memory.

Kindly suggest for the solution .

I am installing NW CE 7.2 on a windows machine. I opted for custom installation. I get the below error at "Deploy java components step. Any clue on why is this happening and how to resolve ?
