I want to know, if the NWDS works on Windows 7. On my MacBook Pro i can boot Windows, there I have Vista installed and NWDS is runnning without any problems. But on my new Laptop is Windows 7, and I dont 't know, if i can install NWDS.

I have installed SAP Web Dispatcher to test a simple, one host cluster environment and I am at the point of configuring it. The documentation says:
It requires minimal configuration - you just have to enter the following data in the profile file: Port, on which the HTTP(s) requests are to be received (parameter icm/server_port_<xx>) Host and HTTP port of the SAP Message Server (parameter rdisp/mshost and parameter ms/http_port) Example If you should be able to call the Web application externally, for example using the URL www.shop.acme.com, this host name must be mapped internally to the SAP Web dispatcher. This then forwards the HTTP(S) request to a suitable application servers. End of the example.
Since I'm not experienced with NetWeaver configuration I need to know which profile file(s), specifically it's referring to and the syntax of the above. Right now in the SCS profile I see:

So, what goes where - the rdisp/mshost and parameter ms/http_port in the SCS profile with what port? What will parameter icm/server_port_<xx> actually look like given the Web Dispatcher instance number, etc.? Once I get the basic functionality working, what about HTTPS/SSL?

We will be upgrading from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 in a few months time. Since Netweaver 7.1 is the current release and it includes Composite Environment, we would like to use it to create a custom front end (for users to enter standard transaction details along with certain custom fields) that calls our SAP system to execute SAP Enterprise Services.
We may have to enhance these Enterprise Services by using the standard enhancement avenues provided by SAP (analogous to user exits in transactions) in order to save and retrieve custom / non standard SAP information. But we are not sure if using SAP CE 7.1 involves any additional licensing costs.
I remember reading on an SAP site that additional licenses are involved if standard SAP templates are changed or new ones created. I don't know what these templates are but can someone suggest whether creating new screens (with custom fields) requires additional licenses? If SAP CE 7.1 is included in Netweaver, can we create composite applications in any way our business demands or are there any exceptional situations which are not covered in Netweaver license?

I want to install NWDS on my Windows 7 64-bit OS. I searched for suitable NWDS(like 7.0, CE7.1, CE7.2 along with their trial versions), but they were available only for 32-bit Windows.
Can you please provide some links where I can download NWDS for 64 bit Windows(any trial version)? I want to learn BPM and WDJ.

I have installed SAP CE 7.1 and it was running fine till last week. But now i am getting an error in Management Console that "No valid license found for one of the instances".

We expect that after end users login SharePoint 2010, they will integrate to SAP without login SAP again in Sharepoint system (using WebPart).
- I am seeking a documentation or an article so that it shows me how to configure ADFS for SAP.
- Please help me and let me know if you have any documentation about my expected things above.

I have a problem configuring SLL client certificate authentication for NW CE 7.1
I've configured ICM to use SSL and set VCLIENT = 1 in the Java instance profile:

After that I could create SSL-connection to the server using its server certificate.
Then I've tried to add some root CAs for client certificates to the ICM_SSL_<instance> keystore view as described in step 1 at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/b0/881e3e3986f701e10000000a114084/frameset.htm">CE library</a>. The NWA GUI suggested to export the view to PSE, because it was changed. Done.
The corresponding client certificates are installed into my browser.Nevertheless, the server does not ask for client sertificates when I'm pointing the browser to https://localhost:50101/ (there's no standard browser window with list of client certificates).

It seems, the server does not have any clue about my client certificates as it didn't found SAPSSLC.pse. The directory \sec has only SAPSSLS.pse in it. How could I generate SAPSSLC.pse file or what should I do then ?
I'm having an issue with logging on to the update site in NWDS. Version is 7.1 SP09.
The update site link is set to https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710/policy.xml.
When I execute the update via
Help --> Software Updates --> Find & install --> Search for new features to install
I select the "Finish" button and in the details popup box I see a message
"Contacting ...... Searching update site".
After a while an error message box pops up with the message:
"Network connection problems encountered during search."
Clicking the "Details" button in the popup box displays the text:
Unable to access "https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/ce/710/policy.xml" Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.] Premature end of file. Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.] Premature end of file.
I am able to connect to the URL via a web browser. When I do so, I get a popup login box to enter credentials (S-user ID & password). Once entered, I get the XML document displayed in the browser. My issue seems to be that NWDS suppresses the logon credentials entry box and eventually the update process times out.
There does not seem to be any place in the preferences to enter the logon credentials. We don't use a proxy server, so I have the network connection preferences set to "Direct connection to the Internet".
Anyone have any ideas what the solution is? An earlier post seemed to provide a solution for setting the SSL check-box "on" for the proxy server; however we don't use a proxy server so this option is not available to me.

I want to install NWDS on my Windows 7 64-bit OS. I searched for suitable NWDS(like 7.0, CE7.1, CE7.2 along with their trial versions), but they were available only for 32-bit Windows.
Can you please provide some links where I can download NWDS for 64 bit Windows(any trial version)? I want to learn BPM and WDJ.

Dear All,
As per the SAP NWDS link, I have downloaded the 7.2 software. I have also provided the required jre folder and configured the JVM.
Now, when i try to find and install the updates I obtain an error "Unable to connect to the policy url https://nwds.sap.com/swdc/downloads/updates/netweaver/nwds/nw/720/policy.xml". The same url is accessible on the browser but asks for S-user ID.
The network connections is set to "direct connection to internet"
Kindly let me know how to resolve this issue to install the updates.

We have a client wsdl , and for communication with webservice as per client have to use AXIS1.4.
So imported all the jars into the project EJBmodule related to SOAP, but still the jars are not recognized while building the application.
